There are some obstacles standing in our way which we must overcome. Zoning is one of the issues that would need to be addressed and is a daunting task. The current zone designation for this property is Timberland Production which is a state mandated zone district. The current zone district does not carry with it the allowable land use to build motorcycle tracks. We will need to change the Zone district in order to build and operate the tracks. This specific zone designation is state mandated and is not so easily re-assigned. The good news is that we will be able to build and operate the campsite and bicycle tracks under the current zone district. We will also be able to create our connection to the offsite O.H.V. trail system. So while we are operating as just a campsite in the beginning we will be working very hard behind the scenes on the Zoning Re-Assignment.
Up to this point we have not ran into any opposition from any group or organization. We have received a lot of support from the local community and Placer County. We have spread the word on social media and have received nothing but positive feedback.
